Priyanka & San | Engagement Session

We had a great time taking Priyanka and San’s engagement photos at the Distillery District! They were incredibly easy to photograph with Priyanka’s contagious smile and San’s expert posing. Their subtly matching outfits also turned out great in the photos, my personal favourite from this set is the wheel and barrel shot.

I learned a few interesting things about this couple during our session: they are true highschool sweethearts who have been together for over 10 years, San proposed with a stunning diamond ring from Tiffany’s, and a funny fact…Priyanka has a fear for schools of fish!

Hope you two had as much fun as we did in the sun and rain, good luck with the rest of your wedding planning!

Nancy & Morgan | Engagement Session

Nancy and Morgan wanted an "edgy" engagement shoot in downtown Toronto, so we started off in the middle of Dundas Sq, amongst the buzzing city streets and massive billboards.  The only problem with taking photos in such a dense area is that you tend to draw a crowd!  Since we were attracting a bit too much attention, we headed somewhere more private for the next spot and got some great shots inside Ryerson University's quad and Grafitti Alley.

For those of you who haven't been to Graffiti Alley before, it's an awesome place with wall after wall of vibrant art, perfect if you want an edgy urban look.  We were puzzled by a sign that said "Loading Zone for the Morgan" but it was fitting that Morgan should have a photo with it!

Nancy and Morgan, hope you two have an amazing wedding in Las Vegas and wish you all the best in starting the next chapter of your lives together!

Aisha & Imran | Engagement Session

f I could use one word to summarize this e-session it would be “Bollywood”. This couple stood out like movie stars at the Distillery District with Aisha’s beautifully embellished traditional Indian dress and Imran’s GQ white suit.

Imran proposed to Aisha at Rockefeller Sq. and she’s had 2 years to plan their 5-day wedding festivities, or according to Aisha she’s been “planning for this since she was 12.”

Some of my favourite photos from this session are by the dock right before sunset, they just look so cute and relaxed snuggling by the water. The “Keep Off” shot was taken for fun, but later we realized “oh…maybe that’s why the platform was so wobbly!” Thank you both for toughing it out in the heat and we hope you enjoy these pictures!

Jessica & Bob | Engagement Session

While traveling with some friends in Cuba last week, we had the opportunity to take a set of engagement photos for Jessica & Bob.  These two are true examples of a pair brought together by fate.  Jessica is originally from Vancouver and Bob resides in Ottawa, the two of them met 5 years ago in Toronto where their love story began.

Jessica chose a stunning red asian-inspired silk dress for this shoot, which I thought was so suitable because it not only served as a great contrast to the lush tropical scenery of Cayo Coco, but also showcased their lifestyle as Bob is the owner of a yummy Japanese restaurant in Ottawa: Sushi 88.

One of the photos below was an idea Jessica and Bob came up with because it is a feeling they can particularly relate to.  It illustrates "cross-roads in life", not exactly sure what the future will hold but content as long as they are beside each other, hand in hand.
